The Canadian Billiards & Snooker Association is pleased to announce that the 2017 CANADIAN OPEN SNOOKER CHAMPIONSHIPS will once again return to The Corner Bank in Toronto, Ontario hosted from May 10th through 14th, 2017.
The CBSA would like to thank owners Jim Wych and John White for their continued support of the snooker program, and cue sports at large, both nationally and internationally.

PROVINCIAL AFFILIATION FEE: $25
All entries are subject to the approval of your respective provincial association. Contact your provincial representative to determine qualification requirements in your province. Each entry fee must be accompanied by a $25 provincial association membership fee.
Entry fees that are not collected by your provincial representative can be submitted electronically by eTransfer to firstname.lastname@example.org and will also be subject to the discretion of your resident provincial association and CBSA. Once an entry has been approved and payment has been received, the registered player will be entered into the draw and the fee will be non-refundable.
There are 64 spots available in the draw for the 2017 Canadian Snooker Championships – each province is allocated a certain number of spots, as indicated in the table below:

In the event that a province is unable to fill all spots allocated to them by April 15th, those unfilled spots will be made available to any eligible players in Canada, subject to the discretion of the CBSA.
- Long-sleeved dress shirt, suit trousers and dress shoes.
- Waistcoat and/or cummerbund with tie/bowtie.
- No hats/headwear of any kind.
Requests for exemption to the dress code must be presented to the tournament director in advance of any match play.
PRIZE MONEY & INTERNATIONAL INVITATIONS
The prize pool for the Open Snooker championships is comprised of 100% of the ENTRY FEES submitted and will include $2,000 expenses for the winner to represent Canada at the IBSF World Snooker Championships in Malta, November 2017 (more info to be announced at ibsf.info)–additionally, CBSA will provide $1,500 to the runner-up in travel expenses to attend as well.
The Top 8 finishers in the Canadian Snooker Championships will also be invited to participate in the North American Snooker Invitational this October, competing for $7,500.
