2017 Canadian Pool Championships – Thetford Mines, QC | May 23 to 28


The Canadian Billiards & Snooker Association, in association with EvenTime Productions, is pleased to announce that the 2017 CANADIAN POOL CHAMPIONSHIPS will be hosted at Black Lake Arena in Thetford Mines, QC from May 23rd through 28th, 2017.

The dates for each division are as follows:

Open 8-Ball & Womens 8-Ball – May 23 to May 24
Open 9-Ball Womens 9-Ball – May 25 to May 26
Open 10-Ball Womens 10-Ball – May 27 to May 28

Amateur Mens 8-BallAmateur Womens 8-Ball – May 25 to May 26
Amateur Mens 9-Ball & Amateur Womens 9-Ball – May 26 to May 28

Junior 9-Ball – May 28

OTHER EVENTS:
14.1 Continuous – May 23
One Pocket – May 23
Bank Pool – Mini-tournament (On-site registration)
Speed Pool – Mini-tournament (On-site registration)

 

FEES

Registration Fees for Open 8-Ball, Open 9-Ball & Open 10-Ball: $225 each

Registration Fees for Amateur 8-Ball & Amateur 9-Ball: $175 each

Registration Fees for Bank Pool, Speed Pool, One Pocket & 14.1 Continuous: $75 each

Junior 9-Ball: Free Entry

Additional Fees:

Green Fee: $35 PER TOURNAMENT (up to a maximum of 2 [$70])
Admin Fee: $20 for the whole week

 

ELIGIBILITY

Amateur Divisions

Amateur classification is recognized at the provincial level through your respective provincial organizations. If you are uncertain whether or not you are eligible to play in the amateur division, contact your provincial representative.

Junior Division

To be eligible to play in the Junior division, you must be 18 years of age or younger as of December 31, 2017.

ADDED FUNDS

There will be a minimum of $16,000 added to the prize pool for the Championships by the host.

INTERNATIONAL INVITATIONS

Open 8-Ball, 9-Ball & 10-Ball

In the Open divisions, the winner and runner-up will receive the first two invitations to represent Canada at each respective World Championship. $2,000 in prize money for world expenses will be held for the winner of each division.

For all other international pool competitions sanctioned by the WPA, the order of invitation will be determined based on the combined 2016 CBSA Pool Rankings.

Women’s 8-Ball, 9-Ball & 10-Ball

In the Women’s divisions, the winner and runner-up will receive the first two invitations to represent Canada at each respective World Championship. $1,200 in prize money for world expenses will be held for the winner of each division.

Junior 9-Ball

The winner and runner-up in the Junior division will receive the first two invitations to represent Canada at the World Junior 9-Ball Championship.
